Use text to have students copy and move text to another part of the story. They can highlight text and then cut before moving it. As they move the text, have the students copy and paste the text to create a shorter paragraph with basic information like a reporter would have to consolidate the text.
This is a free site for students. As the child learns letter names and sounds they also learn to use the mouse to drag and drop, without needing two keys( space bar and mouse keys).
The students can be signed up individually to track their progress.
